Indian Institute Of Aeronautical Science is one of the most prestigious institute in eastern India, which is approved by Director General Of Civil Aviation, Govt. of India for three years course in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering.

The special character of the IIAS has shaped the destinies of each individual entering its folds. Indian Institute Of Aeronautical Science was inaugurated on 2002. The new campus of IIAS at Durgapur Express High way, Dankuni is under construction. The new campus is built with high quality modern infrastructure which will be unique to make it self sufficient & self contained AME Institute in eastern India. The well planed building with beautiful architecture houses, well lit & ventilated class rooms having OHP & LCD projector & laboratories in Mechanical & avionics field equipped with modern electronics devices & well stocked state of AME library in its 45,000sq.ft area. Ample space for indoor games, big canteen, spacious lobbies, huge parking spaces, complete power backup system, high speed internet at every table step.

The five thousand sq.ft hanger is the most attractive feature of the Institute accommodates heavy category pressurized aircraft Lear Jet 24E & MIG-21 aircraft for practical experience of the students. The high grade technology Microsoft Flight Simulator system enable the students to gain knowledge & experience about the fly by air system of modern aircrafts. This provides a platform to achieve their goals in their respective fields of aircraft maintenance engineering. SCOPE OF APPROVAL

a) Fixed Wing & Powerplant [Light Aircraft, Heavy Aircraft, Piston Engine & Jet Engine].

b) Avionics Stream [ Electrical System, Instrument System & Radio Navigation System].

DURATION OF COURSE

3 YEARS. [ 2½ Years of Theory & Practical Training and 06 months of ON JOB PRACTICAL Training]
